| About
the Artist
Originally
from Rockford, Michigan, I started drawing at a young age and
began selling wildlife and people portraits in high school. After
studying Illustration at Kendall School of Design, I joined the
US Army as an Army Illustrator. I continued to take on commissioned
portraits for the joy of the work, and thus I have pieces in private
collections throughout the United States and abroad.
Residing
in Roeland Park, KS with my pet kitty, Shadow, and artist/photographer
Stephen Locke, I currently focus on my life-long passion for pet
portraiture. While creating my pet portraits, I seek to capture
that special something that makes each animal or pet an individual.
I want the owners to have a permanent reminder of their unique,
furry-faced loved ones. My inspiration comes from my clients and
their never ending devotion to their animal companions.
Portraits need not be limited to cats and dogs, but can also include
reptiles, birds, rabbits, and any other animal that one might
call a pet. I also accept commissions for wildlife murals. It
is my pleasure to share my passion for animals and my talent with
you by painting your beloved pets.
From
one animal lover to another,
